Pod Team Leader

Purpose:
To manage the Telesales Openers in your specific Sales Pod.  To actively identify relevant key account activity within day-to-day sales interactions and to convert telesales activity into sales to achieve the Pod’s annual sales targets.

Key outputs:
• Management of the Pod Telesales Business Openers team to support performance and maximise revenue opportunities.
• Conversion of sales opportunities resulting from ‘opener’ activity in conjunction with line manager
• Promotion and sales of Skill Boosters e-learning, video and trainer-led products to existing and new customers
• Achievement of budgeted sales targets
• Efficient use of database  with responsibility for the quality of data entry inputs and database use to prescribed company standards
• Monitoring of KPI's for Telesales Business Openers and maximization of sales opportunities through effective use of the Sales database.
• In coordination with line manager or General Manager, recruit and training new Telesales Business Openers as required.
• Generation of standard company sales reports
• Support and liaison with Reseller Manager
• Effective utilization of all direct marketing and other marketing activity to maximize business and sales opportunities arising as a result of such activity

• Above average IT literacy and competency in all Microsoft Office products

Qualification and experience:
• A levels or equivalent
• Prior experience working either in a Call Centre or Telesales environment.
• Proven sales record in managing and achieving sales targets
• Prior experience of managing people either at Team Leader or similar level
• Similar proven sales, business development management through a team.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and other office products (database) is essential.  Ability should be intermediate level or above.
